There are several different versions of Microsoft SQL Server available ranging from the Enterprise to MSDE. Minimum requirements for the Processor is a Intel Pentium or compatible 166-megahertz (MHz) or higher. Depending upon the version, the operating system requirements are basically the same as for the .NET Framework.
